    Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity

We are Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity, or YBTC.

YBTC is Yorkshire's leading brain tumour charity dedicated to raising funds for life changing research and patient support.

Formerly known as Andrea's Gift and later Brain Tumour Research and Support across Yorkshire.

They offer support for families who have been given the devastating diagnosis of a brain tumour. They have drop in cafes, bereavement support, support from loved ones and carers plus much more.

Our vision is clear and simple, to cure a devastating disease that affects so many people. Whilst we are working to find a cure, we will provide the best patient and family support network we can.

Around 11,000 new cases of primary brain tumours are diagnosed in the UK every year, 15 each week in Yorkshire. Whilst we are working to find a cure, we will provide the best patient and family support network we can.

    Aphasia Support

Aphasia Support is growing charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with Aphasia and their carers.

We provide tailored speech and language therapy and long-term support to individuals who have experienced the devastating impact of a stroke or head injury, affecting their ability to speak, read, write or understand language.

Our charity delivers both one-to-one and group-based support services free of charge, thanks to the kindness and generosity we receive from our incredible community.

Over the past year, we have proudly supported 225 people with Aphasia - improving wellbeing and independence through computer therapy, supported conversation and community-centred rehabilitation.

It’s our mission to create a world where every person with Aphasia has access to support and can communicate with confidence.
